Nelson <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Economic Development Coordinator Chris Anderson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:41 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Potential Business Park <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller reviewed the staff report. She noted that Curt <br />Martinson and Jim Deal are present to discuss this possibility on Al Pearson's property. <br /> <br />Mr. Martinson reviewed the location of the Pearson farm property. He stated that much of the <br />property lies on what is called the Critical River Overlay District on the south side. He noted <br />that they are proposing housing between Bowers Drive and the business park. He reviewed the <br />proposed trail system through the development. He stated that the business park would be 66.5 <br />acres, residential 34.8 acres, roads 13.8 acres and drainage outlots would cover 10.3 acres. He <br />stated that they would like to work with the City on the transportation issue with this proposed <br />development, sooner rather than later. He reviewed the access points in the area and possible <br />ways to change the access points. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session I April 14, 2009 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
