E. <br />Regional Airport Engineer <br />Department of Transportation <br />Division of Aeronautics <br />417 Transportation Building <br />St. Paul, MN 55155 <br />Dear Mr. Wolters: <br />At our last regular Council meeting, the City Council of Ramsey <br />approved contracts with the firm of Aakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. <br />for the preparation of environmental impact assessment report, pre- <br />application, and land acquisition program. This approval is contin- <br />gent upon the satisfactory review of the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation. <br />Federal regulations state that if a community does not have staff with <br />experience in estimating the cost of professional services, that <br />community should seek advice from the State aviation personnel. <br />In Ramsey, we feel that we do have some experience in estimating the <br />cost of professional services, however, we request your review of our <br />findings. "Exhibit A" in the contract with Hakanson Anderson and <br />Associates, Inc. lists the amount of time to be spent on each task. <br />I have reviewed this allocation of hours and have found that it is <br />satisfactory with my knowledge of projects similar to this. "Exhibit <br />B" in that same contract converts that time into dollars in accordance <br />with Federal standards.
