PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSE¥ <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday <br />September 12, 1990 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cynthia Roselle <br />Ms. Jill Prall <br />Ms. Janice Johnson <br />Mr. Bill Rustad <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Merland Otto / Hakanson Anderson <br />Mr. Merle Mevissen / Public Works Supervisor <br />Mr. Mark Boos / Parks and Utilities Coordinator <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Hetland <br />Mr. Donald Lokker <br />Mr. Jay Swokowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Roselle called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />John Good, 4781 - 154th Lane N.W., told the Commission that he attended the last Park <br />Bond Committee meeting and at that meeting there was a lot of discussion regarding the <br />possible support of a Park Bond issue. Mr. Good feels that if the citizens are shown how <br />they will benefit from a bond issue they would be in support of it. One suggestion was to <br />put ballfields into neighborhood parks which would benefit both the residents and the <br />RYAA. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Roselle asked for Mr. Good's views on the overall park trail system <br />being designed by the City Council and Park Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Good stated that the idea of a paved bike trail appeals to him, however, people may be <br />apprehensive about allowing their children to bike a long distance to get to a park. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDS <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Prall and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to approve the <br />agenda with the following addition: <br /> <br />Case #5 <br /> <br />Ramsey Ranger Saddle Club. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairperson Roselle, Commissioners Prall, Johnson <br />and Rustad. Voting No: None.
