CITY COUNCIL <br />CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a closed executive session on Tuesday, March 14, 1989 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the closed executive session to order at 6:54 p.m. and led in the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Review AFSCME And City Of Ramsey Proposals For 1989 Labor <br /> Contract: <br /> <br />Mr. Scott Lepad was present representing Mr. Bernie Steffen's office. Mr. Lepad proceeded to <br />review AFSCME's 3rd proposal (see Attachment A), Mangement's 3rd proposal (see Attachment <br />B) and Management's proposed pay plan (see Attachment C). <br /> <br />Mr. Lepad stated that Mr. Steffen is requesting Council approval to negotiate up to a 3.5% increase <br />on pay ranges and a 4.0% total package increase cost. <br /> <br />City Council requested being provided with a total package cost figure that included the proposed <br />increase to insurance particiation rates. <br /> <br />Council granted Mr. Steffen the authority to continue AFSCME negotiations under the following <br />limits: <br /> <br />a) 3.5% increase to pay ranges <br />b) 4.0% total package cost <br />c) $12 increase to insurance participation rates <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />The closed executive session adjourned at 7:46 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />Secretary <br /> <br />David Hartley <br />City Adminisa'ator <br /> <br />City Council Closed Executive Session/March 14, 1989 <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
