PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />IZJBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA O00NTY <br /> S~TE OF MINNESO~I~ <br /> <br />~he Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, January 21, 1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding recodification of and amendments to Chapter <br />170.01, the Zoning Ordinance, of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Roy Shu~way <br />Mr. Gerald Zin~nerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Planner Anne Norris <br />City Engineer Peter IRaatikka <br />Acting City Administrator/City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Zi~erman and seconded by Chairman Peterson to accept <br />written comments pertaining to recodification and amendments to Chapter 170.01, <br />the Zoning Ordinance, of the Ramsey City Code until January 31, 1986. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, <br />Hendriksen, Sh~way and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners <br />Howell and LaDue. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris distributed a memo containing comments she has received regarding <br />recodification. (See Attachment I to these minutes). <br /> <br />Darryl Fults - 15410 Barium - Stated that he is in attendance at the request of <br />Mrs. Dolly Fleischer to express concerns regarding downzoning her property from <br />UMB to R-3. Mr. Fults stated that Mrs. Fleischer contends, and he agrees, that <br />upzoning is difficult and feels her property should remain zoned UR and <br />downzoned to I{-3 at some point in the future should it become necessary. Mr. <br />Fults stated that he thinks it would be advantageous to reserve several hundred <br />feet along Hwy. 5 for business. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson pointed out that the UMB designation no longer exists and <br />Mrs. Fleischer's property mustbe zoned R-3 and/or B-1. <br /> January 21, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
