Attached to the Weekly Update is a Flyer for the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Casino Royal Gala. Armstrong Interchange project. Mayor Strommen and Council Member Tossey joined Senator Petersen, and Doug Fischer from Anoka County in testifying before the Minnesota Senate Transportation Committee on Wednesday for the Armstrong Interchange project. The presentation lasted about 20 minutes and Committee members asked several questions, stating that it was a "compelling" story. County Commissioners West and Look were also present. The state is being asked to fund $17 million of the $33 million project. The bill was passed forward to be part of the omnibus transportation bill.
