MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Stephen DeLuca, Councilmember <br />Ken Peterson, Councilmember <br />Dave Hartley~ City Administrator <br /> <br />Mike Auspos, Police Chief <br />Sylvia Frolik, Acting Community Development Director <br />Stephen Jankowski, City Engineer <br />Kay McAloney, Personnel Coordinator <br />Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Sandra Ashley, Finance Officer <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />August 9, 1990 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING OF AUGUST 8, 1990 <br /> <br />The following changes or notations regarding budget requests or the <br />budget calendar were discussed: <br /> <br />1) Police Protection (Sub-function #2211) <br /> <br /> Acting Chief pay was discussed, and it was noted that if the <br />Sergeant position is funded, the Acting Chief pay would no longer <br />be applicable. <br /> <br /> Revenue would be generated by the sale of the two squads to <br />be replaced (approximately April of 91 at 65,000 miles) unless these <br />squads are retained for the city fleet. <br /> <br /> The TI monitor included in the capital budget <br />request should be under the Data Processing sub-function. <br /> <br />2) Streets Maintenance (Sub-function #3311) <br /> <br /> Merle submitted a request for overtime for full-time <br />employees and additional dollars for part-time employees to <br />assist the department during emergencies or exceptionally busy <br />times. This request should be added to the budget request originally <br />submitted; this funding request totals an additional $2,240 <br /> <br /> The funding dollars requested for 1991 street overlays and <br />seal coating are the city's portion only (one-half of the total cost) <br /> <br />City of Ramsey - Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
