PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, October 2, 2003, <br />at the Ramsey Fire Station #1, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Michael Nixt <br />Commissioner Ralph Brauer <br />Commissioner Robert Johnson <br />Commissioner Deborah Shepherd <br />Commissioner Gary Van Scoy <br />Commissioner Eric Watson <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Associate Planner Amy Geisler <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting to order at 7:57 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated as a homeowner in Ramsey he is concerned about something he <br />has seen. He noted that although there has not been a lot of rain, the wetlands are rising along <br />Sunwood Boulevard. He is wondering if the City has caused this by the construction they have <br />approved. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated Alpine Acres is dewatering, causing that area to be higher than <br />normal. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated it has gone up almost a foot, and he has also heard comments <br />from people on Sunfish Lake talking about the water rise. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked if they were over the high water mark. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski indicated Village of Sunfish Lake was also dewatering, and that water <br />was dispersed into Sunfish Lake. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/October 2, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
