ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TASK FORCE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY, <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />On Thursday, September 19, 2002, the Environmental Policy Task Force met in the Conference <br />Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Michael Max <br />Committee Member Erika Sitz <br />Committee Member Margaret Connolly <br />Committee Member Mike Reeve <br />Committee Member Seth Marshall <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Chairperson Joe McDilda <br />Committee Member Sarah Strommen <br />Committee Member Todd Cook <br />Committee Member Sue Dvorak <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Max called the committee meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mr. Max noted an interesting article he found on the web site called "Benefits of Trees in Urban <br />Areas". Ms. Frolik was asked to make copies of the article to provide to all members at the next <br />meeting and Mr. McDilda would be asked to put a link on the MSN site to <br />www. coloradotrees.org. <br /> <br />Motion by Committee Member Reeve and seconded by Committee Member Connolly to approve <br />the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairperson Max, Committee Members Connolly, Reeve, <br />Marshall, Sitz. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson McDilda, Committee Members Dvorak, <br />Strommen, Cook. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Approval of the meeting minutes from August 29, 2002, was tabled until the next regular <br />meeting. <br /> <br />ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION OF SUB-TASK FORCE <br /> <br />Mr. Max recalled that at the last meeting there was a discussion regarding conducting a meeting <br />with representatives of other communities to get some feedback on how their tree ordinances are <br />working. Mr. Max stated that he has discussed this idea with DNR and the Minnesota Shade <br />Tree Advisory Committee and they are willing to sponsor such a meeting. Mr. Max stated that <br /> <br /> <br />
