ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TASK FORCE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA On Thursday, July 18, 2002, the Environmental Policy Task Force met in the Conference Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Chairperson Joe McDilda Committee Member Michael Max Committee Committee Committee Committee Committee Committee Committee Member Margaret Connolly Member Todd Cook Member Erika Sitz (arrived 6:45 p.m.) Member Sue Dvorak Member Sarah Strommen Member Michael Reeve Member Seth Marshall Also Present: Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik Scott Stenger, Pro-Source Technologies Environmental Specialist Bruce Bacon Parks & Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos CALL TO ORDER: Mr. McDilda called the committee meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. APPROVAL OFAGENDA Motion by Chairperson McDilda and seconded by Committee Member Margaret Connolly to approve the agenda. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Mr. McDilda, Committee Dvorak, Max, Reeve, Marshall, Strornmen and Cook. Voting No: None. Member Sitz. Members Connolly, Absent: Committee Mr. Max distributed information regarding a tree inspector workshop scheduled for Tuesday, August 20 at 3:30 p.m. in Eagan. He is interested in car pooling with any task force members that would like to attend the workshop. He also noted that Egan's tree preservation ordinance is one of those that is favored by this Committee. It may be possible to meet with Egan staff prior to the start of the workshop to find out how their tree ordinance is working for the community is working for them. Mr. Bacon distributed copies of surveys performed in Ramsey: forest cover type (1992) and population characteristics of tree species (1979). He also put together a graph identifying species present at the time of the surveys. Ms. Sitz arrived at 6:45 p.m.
