ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TASK FORCE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA On Monday, July I, 2002, the Environmental Policy Task Force met in the Conference Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Chair Joe McDilda Committee Member Committee Member Committee Member Committee Member Committee Member Michael Max Margaret Connolly Todd Cook Erika Sitz (arrived 7:41) Sue Dvorak Members Absent: Committee Member Committee Member Committee Member Ralph Brauer Sarah Strommen Seth Marshall Also Present: Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik Scott Stenger, Pro-Source Technologies Environmental Specialist Bruce Bacon CALL TO ORDER: Mr. McDilda called the committee meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Ms. Frolik noted that it will be necessary to reschedule the September 2 and September 10 meetings because of Labor Day and the Primary Election. Consensus was to tentatively reschedule the Monday, September 2 meeting to Wednesday, September 4. Mr. McDilda will be amending the timetable accordingly and look at an alternative date for the public hearing that was targeted for September 10. Margaret Connolly referred to the Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision) update with respect to landscaping requirements and Council's efforts to adopt a density transition ordinance. She stated that Council action on these issues prior to the adoption of a tree preservation ordinance may be premature and a duplication of efforts. Mr. McDilda stated that he would research the status of the density transition ordinance. Ms. Frolik stated that she thought it was tentatively scheduled to be on the July 9 Council agenda. Mr. McDilda and Ms. Dvorak stated that they plan on attending the July 9 Council meeting. At the next meeting, Ms. Frolik is to provide the Task Force with copies of the newly adopted landscape requirements for residential developments.
