ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TASK FORCE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />On Monday, October 6, 2003, the Environmental Policy Task Force (EPTF) met in the <br />conference room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, MN. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Michael Max <br />Committee Member Erika Sitz <br />Committee Member Margaret Colmolly <br />City Council Liaison Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Chairperson Joe McDilda <br />Committee Member Sue Dvorak <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Max called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN OR TASK FORCE INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Max gave a brief update on his trip to San Antonio, Texas for a Community Forest <br />Conference. He talked about the advances in technology. He was also impressed with a session <br />regarding turning waste urban forest materials in saleable products from Amish furniture to <br />garden stakes. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Committee Member Sitz and seconded by Committee Member Connolly to approve <br />the following minutes EPTF Minutes: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br /> <br />June 19, 2003 <br />August 4, 2003 <br />September 3, 2003 (correction - Park Commission liaison Michael Rolfe should <br />be noted as being absent). <br /> <br />Motion carried: Voting Yes: Vice-Chairperson Max, Committee Members Sitz and Connolly. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson McDilda and Committee Member Dvorak. <br /> <br />TASK FORCE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Upcoming Projects <br /> <br />Mr. Max questioned what the proper procedure might be for selecting the next task of the EPTF. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that the Task Force was formed to review tree preservation and wetland <br />regulations. If the next task is anything other than review of wetland regulations, then the Task <br />Force should seek direction from the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
