FINANCE COMMITTEE
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday May 14, 2002, at the
Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota.

Members Present:

Mayor Thomas Gamec
Councilmember Susan E. The Fire Department created a truck committee months ago and has spent a great
deal of time researching other city's ladder trucks and also creating the specifications of a vehicle
that will meet the needs of Ramsey both today and into the future. The committee used a format
similar to that used by the City of Coon Rapids. With this format the specs are considerably less
detailed because of many references made to OSHA and NFPA (National Fire Protection
Agency) standards. The prospective bidders must comply to the latest revision of all those
standards. The committee feels this specifications format will provide the ability for a larger
number of vendors to participate in the bidding process. The specs were summarized as follows:

· 100 foot aerial platform apparatus

Finance Committee/May 14, 2002
