ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMPANY <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Highway 10 Corridor Study Committee of the Economic Development Company <br />conducted a meeting on March 24, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 <br />Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Glen Hardin <br />Mr. Art Raudio <br />Mr. Darryl Fults <br />Mr. Jack Ippel <br />Mr. TerryMiller <br />Mr. Steve DeLuca <br />Mr. Peter Raatikka <br />Mr. Don Greenberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CommunityDevelopment Director Anne Norris <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMITCEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Review Finalists For The Hwy. 10 Corridor Study: <br /> <br />Those present reviewed the responses from the two finalists (Barton-Aschman <br />and Hoisington Group) to additional questions asked in letter form <br />following the presentations made on March 16 and the references obtained on <br />the two finalists. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLuca stated that the presentation given and response received <br />reaffirm his previous determination that Barton-Aschman is the most capable <br />of providing what Ramsey is looking for in the Hwy. 10 study. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel stated that he was not present for Barton-Aschman's presentation <br />but he was impressed with Hoisington Group's presentation. Hoisington <br />seems to have assembled a good team and plans on extensive citizen and <br />committee input into the process which is also reflected in their <br />references. Mr. Ippel stated that he also believes you get more <br />individualized attention from smaller firms. <br /> <br />Mr. Fults stated that he prefers Hoisington because it seems they will <br />provide a more in-depth marketing strategy and implementation plan with one <br />of their team members being a real estate broker. <br /> <br />Mr. Miller stated that he did not see Hoisington's presentation but he was <br />impressed with Barton-Aschman. <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
