PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a st~ecial meeting on Wednesday, February <br />17, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />~yor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmmmber Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator David Hartley <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special City Council meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />A~PROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Motioncarried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: 5~ne. <br /> <br />Case #1: Review Performance Of City Administrator: <br /> <br />The City Council and Mr. Hartley reviewed the progress being made on the <br />goals and objectives of the City Administrator in the following areas: <br /> <br />a. Community relations <br />b. Help the governing body work effectively <br />c. Manage the delivery of services <br />d. Create a favorable work environment <br />e. Project follow-up and scheduling <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley requested close Council involvement in the accomplishment of <br />the following: <br /> <br />a. Developing a mission statement for the City of Ramsey. <br />b. Developing a performance review system for every employee and <br /> possibly City Council as well. <br />c. Developing a trust relationship with City Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated that he considers Mr. Hartley's performance <br /> City Council/February 17, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
