CHARTER COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Charter Commission conducted a meeting on Thursday, October 20, <br />1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Sieber, Chairman <br />Mr. Tom Greenberg <br />Mr. Tom Gamec (arrived 7:42 p.m.) <br />Mr. Stan Data (arrived 7:43 p.m.) <br />Mr. John Lichter (arrived 8:15 p.m.) <br />Ms. Barb Graen <br />Mr. Jerry Hamlet <br />Mr. Bernard Steffen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman $ieber called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1; Confirm Recommendations For Appointments To The Charte~ <br /> C ~ ' <br /> <br />The Commission confirmed the recommendation to appoint Ms. Barbara Graen, <br />Mr. Bernard Steffen and Mr. Jerry Hamlet to the Charter Commission and <br />Chairman Sieber signed the necessary documents. <br /> <br />Case ~2; Discussion Reyardin~ Review Of City Charter: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that there is a need for the Charter Commission to <br />review the City Charter in it's entirety and make recommendations for <br />amendments accordingly. Mr. Hartley noted that he will not take a <br />leadership role but will provide support in this effort. <br /> <br />The Commission consensus was that Mr. Hartley's input to the review process <br />is very important. <br /> <br />Commissioner Gamec stated that the City Administrator, City Attorney and <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
