PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, February 9, <br />1982, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Sorteberg" <br />Councilmember Reimann <br />Councilmember Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Cox <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Building Official Berg <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />Reporter Eric Sandin <br /> <br />The special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was called to order at 7:55 P.M. <br />by Mayor Gamec. Mayor Gamec led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Bill Aydt - 14964 Nowthen Blvd. - Stated that he would like his 5 acre parcel <br />rezoned, inasmuch as the City rezoned a parcel in order to allow James <br />Refrigeration to put in a market and gas pumps. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed Mr. Aydt that the parcel of land James Refrigeration is <br />developing is UMB. Market and gas pumps are in the UMB permitted uses. <br />Mayor Gamec also informed Mr. Aydt that he could go through the process of <br />application, public hearing, etc., but that his request would probably be <br />denied because the City has just finished it's Comprehensive Plan and changed <br />business areas to more restrictive uses with regards to sewer and water. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember van Wagner to <br />approve the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br />Case #1 Amendment to City Zoning Ordinance <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained proposed Ordinance 82-2 to the Council. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka pointed out all affected areas on City map to Council. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg and Cox questioned the decision to eliminate truck <br />terminals as a permitted use.
