Meeting called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Der~nis Donovan. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes of July 19, 1979 meeting. Moved by Johnson, <br />seconded by Walz. Carried. <br /> <br />3. Interviewed Mr. Terry McLean, 7261 - 151st N.W. for vacant position <br />on co~nission. Motion to recommend ~. McLean's appointment to Commission. <br /> <br />Moved by Walz, seconded by Johnson. Carried. Chairman to present Mr. <br />McLean's nomination to City Council. <br /> <br />4. Discussion of modification to Titterud Park Development Plan. <br /> <br />a) Relo~tion of parking near proposed ballfield. <br />b) Creative child play area. Encourage Ramsey Lions to <br /> take this project or Chairman to contact Lions. <br />c) Grading by Corps of Engineers. Chairman to determine <br /> whether feasible (alternative project for Corps would <br /> be to provide access and holding areas for Riverwood <br /> Hills #II). <br />d) General agreement to proceed with grading, bituminous <br /> surfaces, ballfield and termis court (order of priority) <br /> relative to $35,000 appropriate for project. <br /> <br />General concensus regarding above. <br /> <br />5. City Council Report <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />LAWCON Grant. Submitted. Anticipate response from <br />Metro by mid-September. Donovan, Walz and Johnson to <br />attend next Metro Council meeting to speak of proposal. <br /> <br />b) Concerns of AYAA. Council favorably disposed to: <br /> <br />1) Storing athletic equipment <br />2) Purchase of locked storage box to be <br /> located adjacent to City Hall <br />3) Purchase of permanent home plates for <br /> ball fields <br /> <br />Still need to review with City Council numbering of <br />ball fields, lime spreader and equipment to dr~ I'~elds. <br /> <br /> <br />
