FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Axmstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Elvig <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Elvig called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5:41 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Review and Adopt 2003 Amended General Fund Budget <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that the City is required to amend its adopted budgets annually to <br />reflect more accurately the actual expenditures and revenues for that proposed year. She noted <br />that revenues exceeded expenditures by approximately $400,000. Those excess funds could be <br />designated for a future City Hall or placed into a Park Maintenance Fund. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig inquired as to what the process would be to designate the excess funds be <br />placed into a Park Maintenance Fund or City Hall building fund. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund explained that the Council would need to adopt a resolution designating <br />where the funds wilt go. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to recommend <br />that the City Council adopt the resolution amending the 2003 General Fund Budget. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Strommen.
