REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY CITY COUNCIL <br /> Mar. 2&, 1975 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the Mayor, Mr. <br />Cox. Present were Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann, Mr. Mickelson and Mrs. <br />Oliphant. Mr. Steffens, Mr. Goodrich, Mr. Raatikka and Mr. Fricke <br />were also present. <br /> <br />Public Participation: Mr. Robert ~ushman asked about a civil <br />'~e~ense siren. No one had heard anything about such a siren. <br />was the only comment from the audience. <br /> <br />This <br /> <br />Agenda Approval: Mr. Reimannmoved we accept the agenda for the <br />March 2$th meeting. Seconded by Mr. Gorham. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes: Mr. Reimann moved we accept the minutes of <br />the Ma~. loth meeting as ~iled. Seconded by Mr. Gorham. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Sunfish Lake Blvd.: Mr. Ruud, Mr. Redepenny'and Mr. Bohr of the <br />C'6~t6~y Highway ~epartment were present concerning a resolution <br />they needed from the City of Ramsey on the construction of Sunfish <br />Lake Blvd. They requested this approval for .this State Aid project. <br />They have completed the acquisition of the R/Wwith just a few ex- <br />ceptions. It will have a ~ foot top, 2~ foot bituminous surfac e, <br />5 inch aggregate base with a 2 inch wear course on top. Estimated <br />cost is ~265,000. It is a 120 foot R/W. Mr. Raatikka said he did <br />not see any reason why we could not go ahead and accept this road <br />at this time. The road will be restricted to 9 tons including the <br />garbage trucks during weight restriction time. The resolution was <br />given to Mr. Goodrich for his perusal. There were no objections <br />from Mr. Goodrich. Mr. Gotham moved we adopt County Highway Reso- <br />lution on Highway No. 57 form 30182 "Whereas, plans for Anoka Co. <br />Highway Project No. C.P.75-06-57 showing proposed alignment, profiles, <br />grades and cross-sections, together with specifications and special <br />provisions for the reconstruction of County Highway No. 57 within <br />the limits of the City as a County Aid Project have been prepared <br />and presented to the City., Now, therefore, it is resolved: That <br />said plans, specifications and special provisions be in all things <br />approved. Dated this 2~th day of March, 1975". Seconded by Mr. <br />Mickelson. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Ruud said this last snowstorm had cost' the County $50,000. <br />County has &15 milesk of roads with 18 crews. <br /> <br />L£censinE .0rdinanc~: Mr. Gorham moved we adopt Ordinance 75-2, an <br />ordinance requiring a license to carry on certain businesses or trades <br />in the City of Ramsey and change all the bond requirements to $2,000. <br />Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Scenic Easement: Mr. Steffens explained this matter. He recommended <br />the Council refer this easement to the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mr. Albert asked who was going to pay for the land in the easement <br /> <br /> <br />
