SPECIAL COUNCIL <br /> <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Ramsey City Council held a <br />special meeting on May 29, 1980 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informally called the meeting to order at 8:37 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Plat of Greenland Hills <br /> <br />The city's contractor was present and said they did the grading of the lots <br />in this plat and at the time, City Engineer Raatikka said it looked like <br />something would have to be done at the cul-de-sac and he told Pete he <br />would like to do the street and deed the vacant lot to the people in the house. <br />The contractor did the grading and put natural top soil on that lot and now <br />they are doing the restoration and would be seeding it. The man who owns <br />the back lot, Mr. Dick Miller, would like something better than the top <br />soil and seed and would like the city to deed him that land. The contractor <br />removed the cul-de-sac, but he didn't feel obligated to sod this- lahd. - <br />He said he agreed to pay Mr. Miller $50.00 for the sod. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said he agreed Mr. Miller had nice sod there, but it is <br />disturbed now. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked where the city is involved in this. <br /> <br />The city's contractor said it is still city property and Mr. Miller is <br />unhappy with the way they plan to leave the city property. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said if the sod on the boulevard is disturbed, <br />the contractor has to restore it to what it was. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said it looked bad now and it is city property. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson asked who was going to maintain the property. <br /> <br />City Administrator' Schnelle said he didn't think the city wanted to take <br />over the maintenance of it. <br /> <br />Special Council <br /> May 29, 1980 <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
