The man who owns
the back lot, Mr. Dick Miller, would like something better than the top
soil and seed and would like the city to deed him that land. The contractor
removed the cul-de-sac, but he didn't feel obligated to sod this- lahd. -
He said he agreed to pay Mr. Miller $50.00 for the sod.

Councilman Sorteberg said he agreed Mr. Miller had nice sod there, but it is
disturbed now.

Mayor Gamec asked where the city is involved in this.

The city's contractor said it is still city property and Mr. Miller is
unhappy with the way they plan to leave the city property.

City Administrator Schnelle said if the sod on the boulevard is disturbed,
the contractor has to restore it to what it was.

Councilman Sorteberg said it looked bad now and it is city property.

Councilman Mickelson asked who was going to maintain the property.

City Administrator' Schnelle said he didn't think the city wanted to take
over the maintenance of it.

Special Council
May 29, 1980
Page 1
