Regular Council Meeting <br />February 14, 1977 <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on February 14, 1977, <br />at Ramsey Elementary School, 15000 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Anoka, MN 55303. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilman Gorham <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Muller <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Administrative Asst. Nereson <br />Dep. Clerk Peddycoart <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Mayor Cox. <br /> <br />Pledge of allegiance to the flag led by Mayor Cox. <br /> <br />.Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, Seconded by Gorham to accept the February 14, 1977, Agenda <br />with the following additions: Under New Business #5 - County line road <br />between Sherburne and City of Ramsey and #6 Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />Plan. Under Mayor & Council Input - minutes of Ramsey Economic Development <br />Committee and stenographer to take Council meeting minutes. <br /> 5 Aye! <br />Minute Approval <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, Seconded by Mickelson to approve the minutes of January 24, <br />1977, Council meeting as mailed. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, Seconded by Mickelson to accept the minutes of January 26, <br />1977, Special meeting between Park & Recreation, Planning & Zoning and City <br />Council. <br /> <br />5 Aye~ <br /> <br />5 Aye~ <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, Seconded by Reimann to approve the February 2, 1977, <br />Special meeting minutes. <br /> <br />5 Aye~ <br /> <br />Letters & Communications <br /> <br />Adm. Asst. Nereson presented the following correspondence: <br /> <br />Letter from John Clawson, State Rep., sending his congratulations to Ramsey <br />on the EDA grant - 1976 for construction of a new municipal facility. <br /> <br />Letter from John Clawson, State Rep., regarding Open Burning Permits stating <br />he has contacted MN. Pollution Control and feels the City should have a <br />long range plan for dealing with shade tree disease. He will work with the <br />City to develop a small number of burning sites provided the City work with <br />a long range plan for disposal of the diseased trees. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson commented that he has contacted I~N. Pollution Control since <br />receipt of Mr. Clawson's letter and was to have something for Council tonight <br />but has not received it .vet. <br /> <br /> <br />
