COUNCIL 3/13/78 (1) <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsev City Council was held on March <br />13, 1978, at Ramsey Municipal tenter, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Councilman Gamec <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Muller <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Adm. Asst. Nereson <br />Engineer Raatikka <br /> <br />ABSENT: Mayor Cox <br /> <br />Administrative Assistant Nereson called the meeting to order at 7:35 <br />Administrative Assistant Nereson led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said that it should be noted that Mayor Cox is absent <br />as he is in Washington, D.C. meeting with Congressman Oberstar and <br />his staff regarding the Rum River bridge crossing. <br /> <br />MOTION by Gamec, seconded by Reimann to nominate Councilman Muller <br />as action mayor because of his previous experience as acting mayor. <br /> 2 Ayes <br /> Councilman Muller Abstained <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Muller read the Agenda. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA: <br /> <br />MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Gamec to accept the Agenda of <br />March 13, 1978, with the following changes: Old Business Item 1, <br />Final Plat - Raillev Estates be withdrawn from the Agenda; Item D <br />under Planning and ~oning Recommendations, Flintwood Hills Second <br />Addition, should be sketch plan instead of preliminary plat. 3 Ayes <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> <br />February 27, 1978 - Regular meeting <br /> <br />MOTION by Gamec, seconded by Reimann, to approve the minutes of <br />February 27, 1978, as mailed. <br /> <br />3 Ayes <br /> <br />LETTERS & COM}~NICATIONS: <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson read a letter addressed to Mayor Cox from the Minnesota <br />Department of Agriculture regarding the Minnesota Arbor Day <br />Celebration of 1978. It emphasized reforestation and suggested that <br />the Mayor act to make Arbor Day a viable event within the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
