COUNCIL 5-8-78 <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />'CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOF~ <br /> STATE OF MIk~EBOTA <br /> <br />A Regular Meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on May 8, 1978, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 N~wthen Blvd. kW, Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />PRESENT <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilman Garnet <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Muller <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />A~SO PRESENT: <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich <br />Engineer Raatikka <br /> <br />Mayor Cox called the meetingto order at 9:00 P.M. <br />Mayor Cox led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION by Reimann, !~econded by Mickelson to accept the Agenda as read with the <br />following additions: Under New Business, Item 8, Purchase of lawn mower~ <br />Item 9, review Park and Recreation report~ Ttem 10, Mr. P~aske regarding trees. <br /> 5 Ayes <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mark Hadley from the Community School announced Family Fun Day to be held on <br />May 20th from 2:00 to 6~0 P.M. at the Elementary School across the road from <br />the Municipal Center. He said they are looking for volunteers to help out <br />working the booths and those interested, contact Mr. Hadley at the Community <br />School office. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann announced that a Board of Equalization will be held at the <br />City Hall on May 18 to answer questions about taxes. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes of the April 24th Council Meeting will be done at the <br />next Council Meeting. ~ <br /> <br />LETTERS AND COMMUNICATIONS~ <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka read a letter addressed to Mayor Cox from Mr. Cummins Gruber <br />regarding a special meeting at Gateway North on May 5th regarding completion <br />of grading on Plat 1, and it was agreed that the road would be fully completed <br />on or before May 12th. <br /> <br />Councilman Gamec said that there is talk of a JC Chapter being formed in Ramsey <br />and anyone interested, is to contact Tom Anderson with the Police Department. <br /> <br />Gary Ostberg was present from the Anoka County Community Action Program and <br />presented facts about the HUD small City's Grant Program to the Council. <br /> <br />MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Muller to enter into an agreement with HUD Small <br />City,s Program with the County of Anoka. <br /> <br />Councilman Muller withdrew his second, Reimann withdrew his Motion. <br /> <br /> <br />
