Mr. Austin stated that he was here
first, he doesn't want the airport and inquired as to how he can get a
court order to stop the project.

Commissioner Barnes noted that the airport has been in Ramsey since 1971.

Glen Austin replied that the City has not owned the airport since 1971. If
the City takes over ownership, improvements to it will bring more noise and
air traffic. Inquired if a twin engine King Air would be able to land at
Gateway if improvements are made and why are improvements being considered.

Commissioner Barnes stated that Gateway's 3000' runway will accomodate King
Airplanes now but they choose not to use Gateway because of the dirt
runway. Commissioner Barnesistatedthat he doubts turbine aircraft will
utilize Gateway; those type of aircraft prefer more runway than Gateway
has. The purpose in paving the runway is to improve safety factors.

Commissioner Sieber stated that in his 10 years in Ramsey he has not seen
any other commission put forth the effort this Commission has to get the
citizens informed and involved.
