Public Hearin~ - Phillip Kerssen. - <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the Public Hearing at 7':35 by explainin~g <br />the reason' for a hearing and asking Mr. Kerssen to briefly explain his · <br />request. Mr. Kerssen stated that he wished to build and sell trailgrs <br />on his property at 14765 Nowthen Blvd, and that he would be taking items <br />such as tractors, used'cars, ect. in trade. As there was no one pre~i~nt <br />with any comments, the Public Hearing closed at .7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the regular meeting back to order and ex- <br />plained that he and Clayton Berg had driven through the property, and <br />that there were some specific conditions to consider. <br /> <br />Mr. Kerssen stated that he felt it would be profitable for the City to <br />rezone this parcel. Ken Peterson e×plained that if the property were <br />rezoned UMB, Mr. Kerssen would not be allowed to manufacture the trailers <br />without a special permit. Mr. Kerssen asked if he did obtain just a <br />conditional use permit, could he still rezone at some later time? <br />Art Dunn and Clayton Berg explained that in the event the property ~aS.~''' <br />rezoned~ Mr. Kerssen could obtain a permit· to both manufacture ~and' setl~. ~.i~. <br />and. that the conditional Use permit was a temporary step and woU~di~°~~' i' '< '' <br />~nterfere with any attempt'to rezone. Ken Peterson suggested <br />Mr. Kerssen wanted to ~ezone, that he plat the entire parcel showing the · :? <br /> <br />Ron West asked to see the pictu=es: Mr.~ Kerssen.had o.f th.e traizebs:~ .~::~ ::::: . <br />Art Dunn asked how many trailers were 'b~ilt per Week. Mr. Ker~SS':(::~X'. :' : <br />plained that he is presently working on them in:Coon Rapids and ~S.~a. lly <br />buildm two trailers per week, But hopes to have at least 6 in stock~ but <br />presently is behind on orders. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson explained the need to establish mutual conditions, and <br />explained that he was concerned with the type of items that may be taken in <br />trade. Ron West expl~i~he~u2hat he felt'a need to limit <br />the number of any item. Art Dunn stated that he would be comfortable <br />with no more than 10 items with trade-ins stored behind barn. After <br />discussion, Art Dunn said that If the items were adequately screened, <br />there would be no need to limit the number. <br /> <br /> <br />
