Variance requests for Mary Eggum- Ramsey 67 Ind. Park. <br />Mr. M~orv M~gum and Mr. Pob~er~ Dillon from Calhoun Realty were present <br />with three variance reque~ts~ to subdigide by metes and bounds in order <br />to allow ]Pon Westphal to ~onstruct an office-wharehouse facility on one <br />of the p~rcels. After discussion, it was determined that the<,pl~tting <br />Dr0ceedure wou]d not take much longer than the June 1st deadline requested <br />by Mr. Westphal. <br /> <br />Mr. !q~ur,] asked for' a time table on the platting proceedure. Ken Peterson <br />exo!.aine~ that a Public H~aring could be held as soon as June 5th and <br />asked Clayton Berg if the_~e was anything else Mr.~,~um~o should be a~/are <br />of. Mr. Eerg explained that the,~council would have to take action on <br />issuing permits without approved roads in. Mr. Eggum explained earlier <br />that he had talked with the County Highway Dept. and they stated that <br />they cou].~t not object to a~cc!esses onto #57 and would provide a letter to <br />that ef?ect. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson asked Mr. Eggum what he wo~ld like to do, and explained that <br />he had m choice of continuing on with the platting proceedure or ask for <br />the variances. Mr. Eggum i[stged that he would like to continue with the <br />pl~otting an~{ was told to prepare the necessary information for a public <br />hearinr~ and presentation Of the preliminary plat. <br /> <br />Item 2. Home 0ccupations~and Accesory Uses. <br />It ~,/as ex-~~-~{o the C'dmmission that their previous discussion re- <br />~ar~n~ this maLter hsd nq~t been relayed to the Council and that the <br />Counc~i] was still looking ~for direction from them. <br /> <br />The discussion began with ~an unanimous agreement that home occupations <br />cont~in~]e to be allowed in iac¢ordance with the present ordinance, and <br />that any request for an oo. cupation out~ide of the principal dwelli-~g <br />should be considered an aGceSsory use subject to a conditional use <br />permit ~nn~t handled on a per case basis by the P & Z Commission. Also <br />to be considered an. accessory use would be the storage of articles <br />ty'pical]y used for commerC~ia! income generation purposes either on the <br />property or in a building !other than the principal dwelling. Such <br />,orticles ~,~ou].d ~ot necess~ly be in use while on the property. It was <br />further agreed that such ~ermits would be issued to the individual and <br />not automoticalty transferred to a new owner, and that existing such <br />accessory uses would have a time period such as six months to apply <br />for ~, conditional use permit and review by the Commission to determine <br />if they co~'~p].y with the o~dinance. Recommendations would be made by <br />the Co~mmssion with infor~atfon provided by staff and if necessary a <br />personal examination of tke case by commission me~bers.
