CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Human Resources Manager Givonna Reed <br />Ken Malloy of MMKR <br />Bill Baxley of BKV Group <br />Cheryl Badinger of 3D/I <br />Barry Badinger of 3D/I <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:38 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) 2003 Audit Report <br /> <br />Ken Malloy of Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich, & Co., P.A. (MMKR) presented the <br />Council with the management report pertaining to the 2003 CAFR. <br /> <br />Mr. Malloy stated GASB34 will require a complete revamping of the financial statements and <br />format. It is a big project and MMKR will try to feed information to staff of what they need to <br />do to prepare for this. He explained new fraud standards have been put into place.
