ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Economic Development Authority (EDA) conducted a regular meeting on September 4, <br />2002, at Ramsey City Hall, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Susan Anderson <br />Chris Riley <br />John LeTourneau <br />Jim Steffen <br />Keith Kiefer <br />Gerry Zimmerman <br />Jim Gromberg <br /> <br />Members Absent: None <br /> <br />Also Present: Jim Norman, City Administrator <br /> Sean Sullivan, Economic Development / TIF Specialist <br /> Thomas Gamec, Mayor <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley called the regular Economic Development Authority meeting to order at 7:1 lp.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Member Gromberg, seconded by Member Letourneau, to approve the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Members, Anderson, Zimmerman, LeTourneau, Steffen, <br />Gromberg and Kiefer. Voting No: None. Absent: None <br /> <br />EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1 EDA/HRA Levy Authority <br /> <br />Jim Norman presented background information in regard to how the City currently funds the EDA. Sean <br />Sullivan discussed two new funding sources (EDA Levy and HRA Levy) and how the sources would operate. <br /> <br />Member Anderson inquired about how the HRA Levy money could be spent. Sullivan stated that the funds <br />could be spent as the EDA currently spends money in its current budget. <br /> <br /> .rman made it be known to the EDA that Council had discussed the possibility of the EDA acting as an HRA <br />and seeking additional funding. <br /> <br /> <br />
