Vfe need no?; to bt±nS <br />you up to date on several recent chang.es in metropolitan plans that may affect <br />preparation of your community's comprehensive plan pursuant to the Metropolitan Land <br />Planning .Ac[. The changes concern the ah"ports sys,~em plan and population-household- <br />employment forecasts for regional growth, <br /> <br />This month the Council has adopted a new aviation .policy plan and must amend the <br />a.[rports section of your community's system statement to reflect revised, policies. <br />You should substitute the enclosed section for the one originally received, and <br />should use the information it contains.when preparing your community's comprehensive <br />plan ~ If your community, has a serious problem with someth'ing in this new section, <br />please inform your contact person here at'the Council immediately. He ;vi!! discuss <br />the problem with you and will try to re~ch a satisfactory agreement to resolve ~t. if <br />such an agreement is not possible, th~n your community may appeal the ney.., alrpopts <br />section of the system statement within 60 days of its receipt, using the reconciliation <br />prccedure specified in the Metropolitan Land Planning Act (the same procedure that <br />applied to the original system statement). <br /> <br />Proposed amendments to the Metropolitan~ Development Fra~nework were sent to you in <br />October. Following a sequence of public hearings which ended December 8, the <br />Counctl has now adopted the amendments° The amendments dealing with population- <br />household-employment forecasts will idirectly affect your planning and are enclosed. <br />There were no changes to the pclicieS for urbanizing areas. <br /> <br /> <br />
