CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 5:45 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to approve <br />the agenda, addressing item #4 first. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, and <br />Anderson. VotingNo: None. Absent: CouncilmemberKurak. <br /> <br />Work Session Topics <br /> <br />1) Mississippi West Regional Park Frontage SYstem <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that a subcommittee met with members of Anoka County <br />to discuss the issues regarding the frontage system. The general consensus was that the frontage <br />road issue was not necessarily an issue because there was agreement that the road would go <br />through at some point. Most of the discussion centered on the idea of commercial development <br />in the area.
