CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, February 19, 2002, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 7:45 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Interim City Hall Remodeling <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the Council had discussed the issue at the last work <br />session and reviewed the options that were previously submitted. <br /> <br />Bill Baxley, BKV Architects, reviewed the existing conditions of City Hall and presented a plan <br />that would utilize the current lobby space. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned the rationale for moving the conference room from its <br />present location. <br /> <br />Mr. Baxley explained that by moving the conference room to the lobby area it would allow staff <br />greater flexibility with using the other side of the building for engineering and community <br />development. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that it seemed to him that the proposal wasted a lot of space <br />with hallways. <br /> <br />Mr. Baxley replied that the office space can be configured to maximize the space. <br /> <br />City Council/February 19, 2002 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
