We will be honoring Jo at City Hall with cake, coffee and kind words on Friday, January 17, from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. Jo began working for the City in 1989 as a secretary. In 1990, she was appointed as Recording Secretary and took minutes at all City meetings and worked on records retention. She began administering Elections in 1994, was promoted to Deputy City Clerk in 1997 and then to City Clerk shortly thereafter. She just hit her 30 year anniversary. Jo and her husband, Michael, plan to spend their retirement at the lake. She is a fountain of knowledge and the most positive person you'll ever meet. All of us at the City of Ramsey (and beyond) will miss her greatly. Absentee Voting Begins. In -person absentee voting for the Presidential Nomination Primary Election begins on Friday, January 17, and continues through Monday, March 2. Residents may vote at City Hall or at the Anoka County Government Center — Elections Department. The Presidential Nomination Primary ballots have been proofed and were delivered this week.
