Ramsey <br />Public Works Campus, 14100 Jaspar Street NW, Ramsey. This event has been canceled due to <br />the COVID-19 pandemic. <br /> <br />Peacetime Emergency Clarification. <br />The Governor clarified that the peacetime emergency <br />extension through May 13 is separate from the Stay Home Order. The peacetime emergency order <br />provides the Governor with certain tools to respond to the threat of COVID-19, such as providing <br />economic relief to those impacted by the crisis and activating the National Guard to assist in relief <br />efforts. The Stay Home Order, which lasts until May 4, directs Minnesotans to limit movements <br /> <br />outside of their homes beyond essential needs. <br /> <br />Impacts on City Services: <br />On Tuesday, April 7, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz extended the state’s Stay at Home Executive <br />Order through May 4. At its April 14 meeting, the Ramsey City Council extended the Local State <br />of Emergency Declaration or Ramsey until such time it is lifted by Council resolution. The <br />Governor’s Executive Order has the following impacts on City services: <br />Administration: <br /> City staff will not be booking new meetings until May 4. Existing <br /> <br /> <br />meetings that were booked now through May 4 have been canceled. <br />Community Development: <br /> Inspections will continue as normal. Business and Peddlers <br /> <br /> <br />licenses have been temporarily suspended. Visit www.cityoframsey.com for more <br />information regarding the effects on businesses in the community. <br />Engineering: <br /> Technical staff will continue field work, including inspections necessary, to <br /> <br /> <br />support essential construction projects. Project design and bidding will continue. <br />Fire: <br /> No change in emergency response. There will be no routine fire inspections, no burn <br /> <br /> <br />permits or other permits being issued. <br />Parks: <br /> Park buildings, including public restrooms, are closed until May 4. Port-a-pottys <br /> <br /> <br />are available for public use. All park playgrounds remain open, however, the use of public <br />play equipment is discouraged. Garbage containers will be monitored and emptied as <br />needed. Minimal mowing of parks will be done as necessary when needed. <br /> <br />
