FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday January 11, 2000, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendricksen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Acting Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:55 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: Authorization to Solicit Bids for Construction of Fire Station #2 <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler stated that the plans and specifications for Fire Station #2 are complete other <br />than some mechanical details, which will be complete by January 24, 2000. The City of Ramsey is <br />required to solicit construction bids for a minimum of 30 days. Construction will be scheduled to <br />begin as soon as possible after the contract is awarded. If the winter season continues along as <br />present, the beginning of construction could be earlier than in normal construction seasons. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to recommend <br />City Council authorize the soliciting of bids for the construction of Fire Station #2. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, and <br />Anderson. Voting No: None.
