FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ramsey Fire Department conducted the monthly officers meeting on Sunday, March 2, 2003 <br />at Ramscy Fire Station #2, 15050 Armstrong Blvd. NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />OFFICERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chief Kapler <br />Assistant Chief Hoxter <br />Assistant Chief Lemm <br />Officer Lewandowski <br />Officer Minear <br />Officer Nelson <br />Officer Streich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />(:hief Kapler called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />l)uty ofticer for March is Officer Minear; April is Officer Streich; May is Officer Lewandowski <br />and June is Officer Lecy. Duty officer for opening fishing weekend is Officer Lewandowski and <br />Memorial Day is Assistant ChiefHoxter. <br /> <br />()filter Nelson will be the acting Lieutenant #3. <br /> <br />~/'hc ne×t officers meeting will be Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />Chlorine is being stored next to a pole barn behind Mate by Sparkle Pool. <br /> <br />Assistant Chief Lemm did an excellent job on the SCBA trailer training. It was an open <br />environment and there seemed to be no feelings of intimidation. <br /> <br />Flashlights were turned on and checked on Major Maintenance Night. Four were found not <br />working. Officer Lewandowski will do some research to see if the batteries can be on the <br />charger continually. <br /> <br />IIU1)(;ET 2003 <br /> <br />· ~l,ocal Government Aid will be reduced this year by $480,000 and in 2004 by $800,000 <br /> because of state budget cuts. <br /> <br />In 2002 the Department used training voucher credits totaling $7,600, which leaves a balance <br />o1'$508. <br /> <br />The Department will have to start looking at ways to cut. The Ladder Truck and Grass Truck <br />are still in the budget. <br /> <br /> <br />
