FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department conducted the monthly officers meeting on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 <br />ar Ramscy Fire Station, 15050 Armstrong Blvd. NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />OFFICI,;RS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chief Kapler <br />Assistant Chief Hoxter <br />Assistant Chief Lemm <br />Officer Lecy <br />Officer Lewandowski <br />Officer Minear <br />Officer Nelson <br />Officer Streich <br /> <br />CAI,L TO ORDER <br /> <br />('hicf Kapler called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Duty officer for May is Officer Lewandowski; June is Officer Lecy and July is Officer Weiss. <br />l)uty officer for opening fishing weekend is Officer Lewandowski and Memorial Weekend is <br />Assistant Chief Hoxter. Assistant Chief Hoxter has a conflict and will find a replacement. <br /> <br />Thc next officers meeting will be Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />· When entering a structure fire, SCBA should be locked in to the breathing air mode. <br /> <br />Thc new group of firefighters will not be limited from the first truck because of attendance <br />numbers. <br /> <br />· When leaving the stations for a call, even though lights and sirens are on, yield before exiting <br /> onto the street. <br /> <br />· SCBA equipment will be changed out June 1st. <br /> <br />· When attending a fire in the northwest comer of the city, water can be obtained from Elk <br /> Rivet'. <br /> <br />I~AI)I)ER TRUCK UPDATE <br /> <br />o General called with some specific questions on the communication system and hand held <br /> radio. <br /> <br /> <br />
