FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />'he Ramsey Fire Department conducted the monthly officers meeting on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 <br />at Ramsey Fire Station #1, 15050 Armstrong Blvd. NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />OFFICERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chief Kapler <br />Assistant Chief Hoxter <br />Assistant Chief Lemm <br />Officer Lecy <br />Officer Lewandowski <br />Officer Minear <br />Officer Nelson <br />Officer Streich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief Kapler called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Duty officer for May is Officer Lecy and June is Officer Streich. Duty officer for the fishing <br />opener is Officer Lewandowski. <br /> <br />The next officers meeting will be Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. There will not be an <br />officers meeting in July. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />The buddy breathing systems are back on the SCBA equipment. Officers discussed the <br />buddy breathing system and RIT. The Department will train on RIT and familiarize <br />themselves with the buddy breathing system. Being aware of the amount of air in the SCBA <br />bottle will be incorporated with mask training. <br /> <br />RESCUE #2 REPLACEMENT UPDATE <br /> <br />The committee will obtain a quote from Forstner for the body. <br /> <br />· It was verified that the doors are the same as on Engine #2. <br /> <br />· There is a 6-10 week lead-time and the company will need the truck for 3-5 days when ready <br /> to install it. <br /> <br />· Firefighters Gordon and Grega have done a lot of work in getting Rescue #2 ordered. <br /> Firefighters Noreen and Ternus picked up the truck. <br /> <br /> <br />
