FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department conducted an Officer's meeting on Tuesday, September 1, <br />1998, in the Fire Department at Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler (arrived 7:48 p.m.) <br />Assistant Fire Chief Thomas Hoxter <br />Captain #11 Robert Simpson <br />Captain #12 James Sharp <br />Lieutenant # 1 Jonathan McLaughlin <br />Lieutenant #2 Christopher Weiss <br />Training Officer Ronald Lemm <br /> <br />CAI,L TO ORDER <br /> <br />Assistant Fire Chief Hoxter called the regular meeting of the Fire Department Officers to <br />order at 7:45 p.m. The next Officers meeting will be Tuesday, October 6, 1998, at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> <br />Training Officer Lemm reviewed the training. <br /> <br />· August - Pre-plan for Ferrel Gas, Classroom Pumps. <br /> <br />September - Water Relay, EMS, Pump Certification, Assistant Chief Hoxter would <br />like to add hydrant operation - as far as the pump operator goes on Engine 1 - to get <br />people to look at the intake gauge. Engine 2 - how much should we test? Just to <br />basically engage. Short version of engage for washdown. <br /> <br />° Dave Arneson and Chad Smith started Fire Fighter I on August 17. This is a Monday <br /> and Wednesday class taught at the Fridley Training Center. <br /> <br />Training Officer Lemm stated he has talked with Fire Chief Kapler about putting a <br />drill together with the Police Department dealing with accident scenes and what the <br />Police would like for the Fire Department to do. It was suggested that the Training <br />Committee be involved with that and was noted that they would meet after the <br />business meeting next week. <br /> <br />Fire Officers Meeting/September 1, 1998 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
