FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2000, at <br />the Ratnsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief Kapler called the regular meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />There were sixteen fire fighters in attendance. There were no additions to the agenda. <br /> <br />WELCOME NEW FIREFIGHTERS <br /> <br />Chief Kapler welcomed three new firefighters to the Department; Les Johnson, Jim Grega and <br />Steve Engh. <br /> <br />MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> <br />TRAINING <br /> <br />Chief Kapler reviewed the Training Report. <br /> <br />October training included Pump Operations Test, Emergency Childbirth, and a Map Drill. <br />Coon Rapids Fire Chief, Tim Farmer has notice the Department has become a distinctly <br />better group through the certification process. Along with fmding locations by vehicle with <br />thc map drill, some would like to have a classroom to find the difficult addresses on the map. <br /> <br />November training includes Chainsaw Operations, Trauma and Medical Scenarios, and <br />Major Maintenance. <br /> <br />December 6th will be Auto Extrication and December 20th Blood Borne Pathogens and Hose <br />Identification. <br /> <br />· Next year medical training will not need to include the EMT classes, so there will be three <br /> open spots for other types of training. Ideas for training should be given to Officer Lemm. <br /> <br />MA./OR MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Chief Kapler reviewed the Major Maintenance Report. <br /> <br />Engine #1 had a new battery installed and one bad battery cable was replaced. <br /> <br /> <br />
