FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Klm Moore-Sykes <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:29 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Authorization to Award Bid for Construction of New Fire Station <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler stated that bids for Fire Station II were opened on February 29, 2000. He <br />explained that the project was bid out in three sections - General Contractor, Mechanical, and <br />Electrical - and therefore, the Fire Chief will be acting as the Construction Manager to <br />coordinate the efforts of the three sections of work. The low bidders for the three sections were <br />as follows: <br /> <br />General Contractor: Ebert, Inc. in the amount of $1,177,000 <br />Mechanical: Anderson Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of $212,513 <br />Electrical: Vander Vegt Electric, Inc. in the amount of $128,815 <br /> <br />Finance Committee/March 14, 2000 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
