SRF, Inc. utilized the draft Comprehensive Plan
for this area and has been working on various alternatives, adjusting roadway and land uses
within the area. The limiting factor for the development of this area is the transportation system.

Beth Barts, SRF, Inc., reviewed the site plan prepared by SRF, Inc. in relation to the draft
Comprehensive Plan. The plan would include an area of medium density residential, and light
industrial showing the option of locating the Anoka-Hennepin Technical College on a portion of
the site. Also included in the plan was an extension of Sunwood Drive to Armstrong Boulevard,
with a north/south connection between Sunwood Drive and C.R. #116 in the center of the
property. Ms. Barts also reviewed the possibilities for connections from C.R. #116 to the
existing northern residential locations.

Public Works Committee/January 18, 2000
