PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Public Works Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 18, 2000, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Gerald Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly (alternate) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Public Works Supervisor Grant Reimer <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Public Works Committee to order at <br />5:41 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: <br /> <br />Consider Entering into Traffic Control Signal Agreement No. 79972M with <br />MnDOT for T.H. #47 STP Project (Improvement Project #98-14) <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the proposed agreement with MnDOT outlines the <br />maintenance responsibilities of the City in conjunction with the new signals on T.H. #47, to be <br />installed at C.S.A.H. #5/Xkimo Street (System B), 149th Avenue/Sunwood Drive (System C), <br />and 153rd Avenue (System D). He reviewed the City, County, and State responsibilities as <br />outlined in the agreement. City Engineer Jankowski explained that at the March 15, 2000 Public <br />Works Committee meeting, a draft signal agreement for the maintenance and operation was <br />presented which related to the three signals. He reviewed the signals will be operated in series <br />with a master controller. City Engineer Jankowski recommended the adoption of the proposed <br />resolution authorizing the City to enter into Agreement No. 79972M. <br /> <br />Chairperson Zimmerman asked what costs the City would be assuming for the proposed traffic <br />lights. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/April 18, 2000 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
