PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Public Works Committee reconvened their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 27, <br />2000, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Chairperson Gerald Zimmerman <br /> Councilmember Margaret Connolly (alternate) <br /> Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br /> <br />Also Present: Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> City Administrator James Norman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Zimmerman called the reconvened meeting of the Public Works Committee to order <br />at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #5: Update on 153/155 Project Land Acquisition <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that Parcel #4 is the partial taking of the Volkman property. This <br />parcel has been appraised and offered for sale at $40,248. At the time of the regular meeting of <br />the Public Works Committee the City had no response from the Volkmans, however, the <br />Volkman's have made a counteroffer of $48,000. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen discussed negotiation tactics. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Committee was to direct staff to conclude negotiations with the Volkman's. <br /> <br />Case #1: Review T.H. #47 <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that the City has been made aware of additional costs the <br />City will incur for the T.H. #47 imProvement project which are as follows: <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/June 27, 2000 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
