PUBLIC WORKS COMMITEE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number 1, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard, NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Elvig <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Public Works Director Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Street Supervisor Grant Reimer <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Elvig called the regular meeting of the Public Works Committee to order at <br />5:33 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to approve the <br />agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Elvig, Councilmembers Cook and Olson. <br />Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Review Placement of Chevrons at the Corner of 169th Avenue and <br />Neon Street <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson reviewed that last fall the City approved the <br />posting of a series of chevron warning markers at the comer of 169th Avenue and Neon <br />Street. This posting was the result of a request by the resident at this comer (5866 169th <br />Avenue) to remedy the problem of having vehicles slide off the roadway and into his <br />yard. Subsequent to the placement of these chevrons there was a complaint regarding the <br />aesthetics of these warning devices by Mr. Scott Baumgartner who resides at 5850 169th <br />Avenue, irmnediately east of the comer property.
