ORDINANCE #01-06 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 8 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE BUILDING AND <br />HOUSING CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8.30 "SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS" OF <br />CHAPTER 8 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Subsection 8.30.02 (Administration) shall be amended to include the following language: <br /> <br />8.30.02A Maintenance <br /> <br />mo <br /> <br />Required Frequency Of Pumping/Cleaning and Inspection. Each <br />owner of property containing an Individual Sewage Treatment System <br />(ISTS) shall cause said system to be pumped/cleaned or inspected as <br />provided herein at intervals not to exceed every three years or upon receipt <br />of an inspection report indicating an immediate need for <br />pumping/cleaning. Within thirty (30 days) after pumping a system, the <br />septic tank pumper shall file a Pumping Report, upon forms supplied by <br />the City, on each system serviced and provide all the applicable details <br />requested, including information about any deficiencies or needed <br />maintenance. These forms shall become part of the permanent City <br />records. The initial pumping report shall be filed at the City no later than <br />October 31, 2003. A receipt issued by the pumper for a pumping job <br />performed within a 12 month period previous to the effective date of this <br />ordinance shall suffice as the initial pumping report. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />Notification Process. Through individual mailed notice, the City shall <br />notify owners of property containing an ISTS once every three (3) years <br />that they are required to pump/clean their ISTS or have the ISTS inspected <br />as provided herein. <br /> <br />Waiver of Pumping Requirement. In the event that compliance with the <br />minimum standards of Chapter 7080 are verified by a licensed Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency Septic Inspector and a Maintenance Inspection <br />Report is filed with the City on forms supplied by the City and after <br />review by the City Building Official that the findings of the inspection are <br /> <br /> <br />
