ORDINANCE #88-15 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 170. known as the Planning, Subdivision and Signs Chapter of the Ramsey City code. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 170.063 of the City Code. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 170.063 of the Ramsey City Code is amended to read as follows: 170.063 CASH PAYMENT In lieu of public land dedication for the purposes of parks, playgrounds, trails and/or open space as above described, the City Council may require the subdivider to contribute ten percent (10%) of the fair market value of the undeveloped land which value is to be determined no later than final plat approval or Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per dwelling unit created, whichever amount is greater. The cash payments received as a result of this provision shall be placed in a special fund by the City an~ used only for acquisition of land for parks, playgrounds, public open space, trails and storm water holding areas or ponds, development of existing parks and playground sites, public open spaces and storm water holding areas or ponds and debt retirement in connection with land previously acquired for such public purposes. SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its publication according to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5.04.
