ORDINANCE 096-22 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE <br />ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.02 "DEFINITIONS" AND <br />SECTION 9.11 "PERFORMANCE STANDARDS", SUBSECTION 9.11.10 <br />"OFF STREET PARKING" OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 9.11.10 (Off Street Parking) is hereby amended to include the following language: <br /> <br />In any Residential District, inside parking of licensed and/or unlicensed motor <br />vehicles and equipment, commercial or private, shall be permitted. <br /> <br />In any Residential District, no outside parking of any motor vehicle or equipment <br />shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: <br /> <br />Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, and one unlicensed and <br />operable motor vehicle, the primary purpose of which is for private <br />transportation or recreational use may be parked in the front yard if on a <br />driveway or in the side or rear yard provided they are parked on a <br />residential parking surface that consists of either bituminous pavement or <br />concrete, or outside the boundaries of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area <br />(MUSA) on a minimum of con bit or prepared gravel. <br /> <br />Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private or <br />personal/recreational use, may be parked in the front yard if on a driveway <br />or in the side yard on a residential parking surface of either bituminous <br />pavement or concrete, or outside the boundaries of the MUSA on a <br />minimum of con bit or prepared gravel, or in the rear yard, <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />Commercial use motor vehicles and equipment may be parked outside for <br />short-term periods (8 hours or less) when rendering a service such as <br />loading or unloading or on a routine or regular basis for long terms under <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />The vehicles and/or equipment shall be screened to a degree of 75% <br />at ground level view from adjacent properties and public streets <br />100% of the time while unattended. <br /> <br />The vehicles and/or equipment shall be parked only on the side yard <br />or rear yard of the subject property and said items shall be parked on <br />a residential parking surface that consists of either bituminous <br />pavement or concrete, or outside the boundaries of the MUSA on a <br />minimum of con bit or prepared gravel. <br /> <br /> <br />
