FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 27, <br />1999, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen resigned to serve on the <br />Metropolitan Council <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />James E. Norman, City Administrator <br />Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request City Council Approval to Proceed with the Community Built <br />Playground Project for Central Park <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated that in January, the Finance Committee received <br />the Park and Recreation Commission's request for Central Park's playground project. <br />They authorized requesting the Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), but desired seeing the <br />vendor's SOQ and a projected donation budget forecast prior to approving the project. <br />Mr. Boos reported that a request for SOQ's was mailed to three vendors who have <br />provided Ramsey with play structures in the past and it was also advertised in the <br /> <br />Finance Committee/April 27, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
