FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 1999, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:02 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Anderson to <br />approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: Site Selection of Fire Station #2 <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman reminded the Committee that at the April 13, 1999 meeting, <br />Council reviewed the opinion presented by Hoisington-Koegler Group, Inc. (HKGI). The <br />sites they found to be most beneficial were numbers 9 and 10. Staff reviewed both sites <br />including a physical visit and is of the opinion that site #9 (west side of Armstrong) <br />would best fit the needs of the project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson asked Chief Kapler if he is happy with the site. <br /> <br />Chief Kapler responded that going through the consultant report, he has to give a lot of <br />weight to the south one-third of Ramsey being developed.
